About lighthouse bay

Located in an 18th century merchant’s house, the design of our store reflects the rich maritime heritage of our coastal town. Keep an eye out for our wrought iron, octopus tentacle handrail which was made by local blacksmith James Godbold and our floating, rope hung, locally reclaimed oak shelves. You’ll find plenty of nautical blue hues in our textiles, ceramics and ornaments alongside natural materials and calming green tones inspired by the Yorkshire countryside. You’ll always be given a warm welcome at Lighthouse Bay. Please step inside our store and enjoy the pleasure of browsing and finding inspiration.

About the sandy seahorse

Find us, close to Whitby’s swing bridge at number 1 Grape Lane. Look out for our beautiful pale green shop front painted in a tone inspired by the Cornish coast. Step inside and be greeted with the delicate and clean scent of British grown lavender and natural botanicals and enjoy the effect of our calming colour palette. Drawing on several influences; you’ll find a mix of French, Scandi and Coastal inspired homewares. Our love of neutral, soft colours and florals are reflected in all our products, making it the perfect place to shop for a coastal cottage or to find unique and precious gifts.
